Disorient Express AU Brainstorming

Welcome, dear players, to Grief Street! You've joined us for tonight's episode, The Disorient Express, a murder mystery aboard a train with secrets and inter-character drama galore.

Given the nature of the game and application, we've provided a collaborative space for you to brainstorm with your fellow players about your AU'd characters. This is where you'll be able to figure out who they are, what they're doing here, and also what relationships they might have to other characters on the train. Relationships can be as simple as "Character A and Character B are gossip buddies", or as spicy as "Character A is having an affair with Character B and is plotting to help kill their spouse". Have fun with it!

Remember to be respectful of each other's ideas! If you have any questions or want to talk about something you want to keep secret, feel free to reach out at wolfnoir or on Discord at wolfnoir#4990.

Occupation: Corporate Lawyer, Philanthropy
Appearance: Well dressed and always in a designer suit from a European designer. Nebulously this but appropriately dressed up, and without the undercut.

About: - His parents are Japanese immigrants, Eiji is bilingual in Japanese and English, and knows enough conversational French to show off. He went to Stanford University school of law and graduated early due to his acumen.

- A lawyer for the "good guys", mainly dealing with the titans of the railroad industry who followed the 1889 "Gospel of Wealth" put forth by Andrew Carnegie.

- While he's still a rookie by many measures, he's quickly climbed the ranks due to his charisma, dedication and intellect.

- Mainly west coast California based but when you deal with railroad tycoons you tend to travel the country

Looking For: business partners! casual relationships/hook-ups! anyone who's had to run their business through railroad tycoons or who wanted to look charitable at some point :). Eiji is really big on connections so!

Anyone who thinks negatively of the railroad barons/the elite moneybags is welcome too!

so I have yet to make the childhood friend bingo, Eiji can very well fit the bill. Lindy comes from a very prominent family who has you know ~the ties~, so he has a friendo + high places connection.

Anyways assuming they did go to school with one another he'd probably be very familiar with the whole "brilliant but lazy, fascinated in the arcane/supernatural/forbidden knowledge, Antisocial hates crowds and can't stand the usual people" package. But also "very logical, could be roped into things for Science" and would enjoy a very logical debate. A nuisance if he thinks someone has The Info and all that. They can even keep in contact (via letters, occasional meet up, bc oops still havent decided which uni for him RIP) following higher education since it's doubtful they went to the same university

eiji isnt usually super interested in lazy types bc he is type A, but with Lindy's connections its worth keeping the contact going. I imagine they probably saw each other ocassionally after school at like higher social functions \o

Arcade thinks rather poorly of elite moneybags type of people (but admits he benefits from their philanthropy) and enjoys rapport with intellectual equals. They're both roughly based on the West coast. These two could've probably met through mutual interests, though I'm not sure how, exactly...maybe a moneybags decided to donate to help fund Arcade's research, and Arcade + his supervisor came to his firm to sort out the details. They probably briefly exchanged a few words. I have no idea if this would result in a positive or negative encounter LMFAO
